It is the third in a series of seven items about the Persian Gulf (the others are IOR/F/4/1912/81793, 81794, 81796, 81797, 81798, and 81799). The principal correspondents are the governments of Bombay and India, and Samuel Hennell, Political Resident in the Persian Gulf.This item concerns Hennell’s requests:To draw a deputation allowance after the Residency’s move from Bushire [Būshehr] to Karrak [Jazīreh-ye Khārk] due to the higher prices in Karrak and associated expenses such as erecting temporary buildingsFor two additional clerks to assist with the increased amount of correspondence.Both requests were granted.The item includes a contents page, and the title page of the item contains the following references: ‘Col [Collection] 12, Draft 713, P.C.
