Abstract: Correspondence concerning a request from the Political Residency in the Persian Gulf, made to the Adviser to the Government of Bahrain (Charles Dalrymple Belgrave) via the Political Agent at Bahrain (Captain Reginald George Evelin William Alban), for a surveyor, who is required to take temperature readings at Khassab in Oman. Correspondence details requirements for the surveyor, who should be an English-speaking Muslim, and the arrangements for the payment of the surveyor’s salary and passage.Physical description: Foliation: the main foliation sequence (used for referencing) commences at the front cover with 1, and terminates at the inside back cover with 39; these numbers are written in pencil, are circled, and are located in the top right corner of the recto side of each folio.
