Abstract: A copy of a letter from Brigadier-General John Malcolm to Henry Dundas, former President of the Board of Control, sent from Bombay [Mumbai] and dated 3 January 1809. In order to acquaint Dundas with the state of affairs in the region Malcom forwards his correspondence with: Lord Minto, the Governor-General of Bengal; Sir Harford Jones, British Envoy Extraordinary to Persia [Iran]; and Captain Charles Pasley. He also informs Dundas of his planned expedition to the Persian Gulf and undertakes to keep Dundas regularly informed of events.Physical description: 1 item (2 folios)
