Abstract: A copy of a note from Sir Harford Jones, HM Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Persia [Iran], to Meerza Sheffea [Mirzā Muhammad Shafī Māzandarānī], Prime Minister of Persia, sent from Tauris [Tabrīz] and dated 27 January 1810. The note expresses a desire for renewed friendship between Britain and Persia and announces the approval of advance subsidy payments to Persian officials under the Preliminary Treaty of Friendship and Alliance, 1809.The note was enclosed in Jones's Letter No. 4 to the Secret Committee of the Court of Directors of the East India Company dated 3 February 1810.Physical description: 1 item (2 folios)
