Abstract: A translation of an official note from the Umeen ud Dowlut [‘Abdullāh Khān Amīn al-Dawlah], Second Minister of Persia [Iran], to Henry Willock, HM Chargé d’Affaires in Persia, dated 17 March 1824.The note denies that the Shah [Fath-‘Ali Shāh Qājār] and Prince Royal [‘Abbās Mīrzā, Crown Prince] requested Willock’s dismissal, and affirms that Willock should remain in Persia representing HM Government.The note was enclosed in Willock’s letter to the Secret Committee of the Court of Directors of the East India Company dated 14 April 1824 (IOR/L/PS/9/69/174).Physical description: 1 item (2 folios)
