- Abstract: Translation of a letter from the East India Company Envoy to Persia [Iran], Lieutenant-Colonel John Macdonald Kinneir, to the Sirdar of Erivan, Hoossein Khan [Sardar of Iravan or Yerevan, Ḥusayn Qulī Khan Qājār]. In the letter, Macdonald Kinneir informs Hoossein Khan of complaints made by the Russian envoy to Persia, Prince Minchakoff [Prince Aleksandr Sergeevich Menshikov], concerning his treatment at Erivan. Macdonald Kinneir also reports that Noskoff [Ivan Fyodorovich Noskov], a Russian officer who had brought gifts to the Shah of Persia, will be travelling through Erivan on his way to Tiflis [Tbilisi], accompanied by the Persian envoy Meerza Mohomed Alli [Mīrzā Muḥammad ʿAlī Khān Shīrāzī].
