These political letters appear in IOR/F/4/2302/118727. The correspondents are the Government of Bombay and Major Samuel Hennell, Political Resident in the Persian Gulf. It is the twenty-seventh in a series of fifty-one items on the Persian Gulf.This item concerns reports of maritime peace at Shargah [Sharjah] and a rupture between Shaik Saeed bin Tahnoon of Aboothabee [Shaikh Sa‘īd bin Ṭaḥnūn Āl Nahyān of Abu Dhabi] and Shaik Syf bin Humood of Sohar [Sayyid Syf bin Hamūd Āl Bū Sa‘īd of Suhar].
