It is the twenty-sixth in a series of fifty-one items on the Persian Gulf.This item concerns the visit of Syed Soweynee [Sayyid Thuwaynī bin Sa‘īd Āl Bū Sa‘īd], Governor of Muscat, to Soor [Sur] and his bombardment of a town until the inhabitants promised to pay him tribute and demolish two forts.
