- Abstract: This item consists of copies of correspondence, minutes, and consultations, cited in, or enclosed with, political letters from the Government of Bombay. It is the second in a series of seven items about the Persian Gulf (the others are IOR/F/4/1912/81793, 81795, 81796, 81797, 81798, and 81799). The correspondents are the governments of Bombay and India, and Samuel Hennell, Political Resident in the Persian Gulf.This item concerns a request by Hennell that the Residency in Karrak [Jazīreh-ye Khārk] employ one havildar, four peons, and two sweepers. After consultation with the Government of Bombay and the Government of India, Hennell only employed one sweeper, not two. A list of their salaries is included.The item includes a contents page, and the title page of the item contains the following references: ‘Col [Collection] 12, Draft 713, P.C.
