As well as notice of elected councillors and upcoming elections, the file covers the following matters:a proposal for a census in 1930;the election of a member of the Hindu community to the council;suggestions for changes to the system in 1946, including the breakdown of divisions along ethnic and religious lines.Folio 20 is a list of all elected and nominated members of the Manama, Muharraq, and Hedd Municipal Committees in 1950.Folio 28 is internal office notes.Physical description: The foliation sequence commences at the front cover with 1 and terminates at the inside back cover with 30; these numbers are written in pencil, are circled, and are located in the top right corner of the recto side of each folio.
