- Abstract: The file contains correspondence in the form of letters, memoranda and petitions regarding the estates of deceased people in Bahrain. The papers are mainly from petitioners on matters of inheritance, custody and the administration of foreign estates in Bahrain. The file also contains notes and rulings which were sent by the Bahrain Sharia Court to the Political Agency Court. Most of the correspondence is in Arabic.The main correspondence is between the Political Agency, Bahrain, the Adviser to the Bahrain Government (Charles Dalrymple Belgrave), and the Bahrain Sharia Court.Physical description: Foliation: the main foliation sequence (used for referencing) commences at the front cover with 1, and terminates at the inside back cover with 46; these numbers are written in pencil, are circled, and are located in the top right corner of the recto side of each folio. An additional foliation sequence is present in parallel between ff 4-43; these numbers are also written in pencil, but are not circled.
