The correspondents are: the Government of Bombay; the Court of Directors; Captain Samuel Hennell, Resident in the Persian Gulf.The item concerns an alleged incident of piracy by a boat from Debaye [Dubai] in 1838, and the subsequent decision not to take any further measures against the Shaik [Shaikh] of Debaye, including recovering the blood price for those killed.The item includes a contents page, and the title page of the item contains the following references: ‘Collection No. 10 of No 4 of 1843, Draft 475, P.C.
