Abstract: The file contains correspondence regarding the costs incurred by the British Embassy, Baghdad, in the payment of rents, wages for local staff and hire of furniture. The information has been compiled at the request of the High Commissioner for Pakistan in London. As well as the Embassy, the other primary correspondent is the Foreign Office. The file includes a divider, which gives a list of correspondence references contained in the file by year.
