Abstract: The file is concerned with a proposal — ultimately turned down by the Afghan Government — that the Royal Air Force (RAF) should repair ten unserviceable Afghan aircraft. The main correspondents are Richard Roy Maconachie, HM Minister at Kabul; officials of the Foreign Office; and representatives of the External Affairs Department of the Government of India.The file includes a divider which gives a list of correspondence references contained in the file by year.
