Abstract: This file contains correspondence between British Government officials, representatives of British contracting and building firms (including Charles Kendall & Partners Limited and British Iron & Steel Corporation Limited) and the Adviser to the Ruler of Bahrain, Charles Dalrymple Belgrave.The correspondence discusses a number of issues including the hiring of a State Engineer for the Government of Bahrain, the delivery of building materials to Bahrain and general discussions concerning the protocol for the hiring of European employees by the Government of Bahrain.The file includes a divider, which gives a list of correspondence references contained in the file by year.
