Abstract: A copy of a letter from Brigadier-General John Malcolm, Envoy of the Supreme Government of India to Persia [Iran], to Lord Minto, Governor-General of Bengal, sent from a camp near Bushire [Būshehr] and dated 2 March 1810. The letter forwards various letters related to Malcom's mission, and also covers: Malcolm's communication with the Prince of Shirauz [Shirāz] [Prince-Governor of Fārs] and his Vizier Mahomed Nubbee Khan [Mohammed Nabī Khān Shirāzī]; the apparent sympathies of the Crown Prince Abbas Meerza [‘Abbās Mīrzā Qājār] with France; the relationship with the mission of Sir Harford Jones, British Envoy Extraordinary, also present in the country; and the despatch of various officers to survey routes on the frontiers of Persia.Physical description: 1 item (4 folios)
