Abstract: Copy of a letter from HM Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Persia [Iran], Sir Harford Jones, to Lieutenants Charles Christie and Henry Lindesay and Ensign [Second Lieutenant] William Monteith, the leaders of a British detachment serving on campaign against Russia with the Crown Prince of Persia, Abbas Mirza, of 3 October 1810 (IOR/L/PS/9/68/82). In the letter Jones gives praise and encouragement to the officers for their conduct in the campaign, and instructs them to afford any further assistance that the Crown Prince might require.The letter was enclosed in Jones’s letter to the Secret Committee of the East India Company of 16 October 1810, which was received on 11 March 1811.Physical description: 1 item (2 folios)
