Abstract: Copy of a letter, numbered 4, from HM Ambassador Extraordinary to Persia [Iran], Sir Gore Ouseley, in Tabriz, to the Chairman, Deputy Chairman and the Court of Directors of the East India Company, of 13 October 1813, which was received on 4 March 1814. In the letter Ouseley relates the gratitude of the Prince Royal [Crown Prince] of Persia, Abbas Mirza, for the remuneration, on his recommendation, of Lieutenants Christie and Lindesay by the East India Company for their services training troops in Persia. The letter communicates the Prince Royal’s subsequent request for Lieutenant Monteith, also training troops in Persia, to be remunerated, his having forgotten to include him in his original recommendation.Physical description: 1 item (2 folios)
