Abstract: A copy of two letters from Henry Willock, HM Chargé d’Affaires in Persia [Iran], to the Marquess of Londonderry [Viscount Castlereagh], Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, sent from Tabreez [Tabrīz] and dated 4 and 5 May 1822.Willock reports proceedings at the court of the Prince Royal [‘Abbās Mīrzā, Crown Prince of Persia] in Tabreez prior to Willock’s departure for England, including the departure of Meerza Sauleh [Mīrzā Sāleh Shīrāzī] on a diplomatic mission to Europe, and forwards related correspondence (IOR/L/PS/9/69/90-95).The letters were enclosed in Willock’s letter to the Secret Committee of the Court of Directors of the East India Company dated 4 May 1822 (IOR/L/PS/9/69/88).Physical description: 1 item (3 folios)
