- Abstract: A copy of a letter from William Bruce, Resident in Bushire [Būshehr], to Mountstuart Elphinstone, Governor of Bombay [Mumbai], sent from Shiraz and dated 3 September 1822.The letter reports events at the Court of the Prince-Governor of Fars [Husayn ‘Ali Mīrzā Farmānfarmā], in particular Bruce’s conclusion of an agreement with the Government of Fars (IOR/L/PS/9/69/124 and 131).
