Abstract: A copy of a letter from Henry Willock, HM Chargé d’Affaires in Persia [Iran], to Lord Amherst, Governor-General of Bengal, sent from Tehran and dated 30 March 1824.The letter concerns the subsidy account, which detailed subsidy payments owed by Britain to Persia and charges deducted for goods and services provided to Persia. Willock details the objections of the Prince Royal [‘Abbās Mīrzā, Crown Prince] of Persia to a number of charges deducted.The letter was enclosed in Willock’s letter to the Secret Committee of the Court of Directors of the East India Company dated 4 April 1824 (IOR/L/PS/9/69/169).Physical description: 1 item (6 folios)
