Abbas Mirza reports that he has received intelligence that the money owed in reparations to Russia as part of the peace treaty to end the war between Russia and Persia [Russo-Persian War, 1826-1828] has been forwarded from Zungan [Zanjan] and Kasvin [Qazvin], leaving ‘no grounds for procrastination’ to meet to sign the treaty. Having not yet been given a meeting place by the Russian General-in-Chief, General Paskevitch [General Ivan Fyodorovich Paskevich-Erivansky, Governor-General of Georgia], Abbas Mirza proposes Meeana [Mianeh].This document was originally enclosed, numbered 4 in enclosure No. 5, in Macdonald Kinneir’s letter to the Secret Committee of the East India Company of 16 March 1828 (IOR/L/PS/9/71/201).Physical description: 1 item (2 folios)
