- Abstract: A translation of a letter from the Ameen ool Dowleh [‘Abdāllah Khān Amīn al-Dawlah, Prime Minister of Persia], to the East India Company Envoy to Persia [Iran], Lieutenant-Colonel John Macdonald Kinneir, undated. The letter concerns the repayment of 200,000 tomans previously paid to the Prince [‘Abbās Mīrzā Qājār, Crown Prince of Persia] in exchange for the abrogation of the third and fourth articles of the Definitive Treaty. The Ameen ool Dowleh states that he has discussed the matter with the Kaim Mukam [Mīrzā Abū al-Qāsim Farāhānī Qā’im-Maqām, Vizier to the Crown Prince of Persia] who denied sending the message described by Macdonald Kinneir (see IOR/L/PS/9/71/279).This document was originally enclosed, numbered 8 in dispatch No. 110, in Macdonald Kinneir’s dispatch No. 36 to the Secret Committee of the Court of Directors of the East India Company of 5 October 1828 (IOR/L/PS/9/71/262).Physical description: 1 item (2 folios)
