- Abstract: A translation of a letter from Mirza Abul Hassan Khan [Mīrzā Abū al-Ḥasan Khān Shīrāzī], Persian Minister for Foreign Affairs, to the East India Company Envoy to Persia [Iran], Lieutenant-Colonel John Macdonald Kinneir, dated Suffer [Ṣafar] 1244/c. August 1828.Mirza Abul Hassan Khan states that the abrogation of the third and fourth articles of the Definitive Treaty, which concern British subsidies and military aid to Persia, has been ratified by the Shah [Fatḥ-‘Ali Shāh Qājār] in exchange for a contribution of 200,000 tomans from Macdonald Kinneir towards a sum of money to secure the withdrawal of Russian troops from Khoee [Khoy] in accordance with the treaty of Toorkmanchaee [Turkamanchay].
