Received 5 April 1860.The Enclosures include a report by Brigadier William Marcus Coghlan, Political Resident and Commandant, Aden, on his tour of the Red Sea aboard HM Steam Frigate Auckland. The report covers Perim, Mussowah [Massawa, Eritrea], and Dissee Island, and is principally concerned with French influence in the area.
