No date of receipt.The enclosure consists of a letter from James McAdam Hyslop, Officiating Political Agent in Turkish Arabia, forwarding a dispatch sent to HBM's Ambassador at Constantinople, concerning affairs in Turkish Arabia, including an investigation by the Governor General of Irak [Iraq] of complaints of extortion against various district officials, and the correction of an abuse that had taken place under a previous Governor, involving the making of payments for a large number of irregular soldiers, while the number in existence was actually very small.Physical description: 1 item (2 folios)
