- Abstract: The item consists of copies and extracts of correspondence and memoranda cited in, or enclosed with, extracts from a Government of Bombay Political Consultation, 14 April 1847.The item contains a petition from merchants at Bombay [Mumbai] to the Governor of Bombay, dated 9 March 1847. The merchants request that the Resident at Bushire [Bushehr] extend his protection to their agent, Cojah Moorad Nussim [Khwājah Murād Nasīm(?), also rendered in text as Cojah Moorad Nusein], at Bushire as the Governor of that place keeps taking money from him whilst charging full customs duty.
