These political letters appear in IOR/F/4/2376/126162. The main correspondents are: the Government of Bombay; the Government of India; and E Cardew, Collector of Customs at Mauritius. It is the thirteenth in a series of fifteen items on the Persian Gulf.The item concerns the history of the ship Carnaticwhich was plundered in 1829.
