The correspondents are: the Government of Bombay; Captain Arnold Burrowes Kemball, Political Resident in the Persian Gulf; Captain Atkins Hamerton, British Consul and Agent in the Dominions of the Imam of Muscat; Commander George Robinson, Senior Naval Officer in the Persian Gulf; and Hajee Yacoob [Ḥājjī Ya‘qūb], British Agent at Shargah [Sharjah].
