Abstract: This item contains copies of letters from Samuel Manesty, Acting Envoy to Persia [Iran], to: Harford Jones, Resident in Bagdat [Baghdad]; John Barker, Consul in Aleppo; Peter Tooke, Agent of the East India Company in Constantinople [Istanbul]; and Coja Cawork Doud [Khawājah Kevork Dāwūd], Broker and Linguist at the Bussora [Basra] Residency; sent from a camp near Kazeroon [Kazerun] and dated 6 March 1803.Manesty reports that he has transferred his duties as Resident in Bussora to Captain Edward Stephenson during his absence in Persia.Physical description: 1 item (2 folios)
