Abstract: This item consists of a copy of an enclosure to a Political Despatch from the Government of India Foreign Department to the Secretary of State for India, dated 15 September 1874, relating to correspondence between HM Consul-General in Turkish Arabia [Ottoman Iraq] and Redif Pasha [Radīf Pāshā], Governor-General of Bagdad [Baghdad], concerning the latter postponing further payment on account of telegraph stores, and repeating his promise to complete liquidation by the middle of March 1875.Physical description: Foliation: the foliation sequence for this description (used for referencing) commences and terminates at f 50, as it is part of a larger physical volume; this number is written in pencil, is circled, and is located in the top right corner of the recto side of each folio.
