Abstract: The item consists of copies and extracts of correspondence, which form partial enclosures to a letter from the Government of Bombay [Mumbai] to the East India Company Court of Directors, dated 30 September 1845. A copy of this letter can be found at IOR/F/4/2142/102302, alongside details of further enclosures.The item relates to a request from the Governor-General of India that any letters addressed to him from Aden should be sent to Bombay and, from there, forwarded directly on to him.The correspondents are the governments of Bombay and India.The title page of the item contains the following references: ‘Bombay Political Department’, ‘P.C.
