- Abstract: The item consists of correspondence relating to the embassy of Sir Gore Ouseley to the Court of Persia [Iran]. The letters are principally from Ouseley to the Secret Committee of the Court of Directors. The letter is dated Damascus, 19 May 1849, and is addressed to an unnamed ‘Captain’.
