- Abstract: This part of the volume consists of copies of enclosures to a despatch from the Government of Bombay Secret Department to the Secret Committee, Number 60 of 1850, dated 2 November 1850. The enclosures are numbered 3-6 and are dated 14 October-2 November 1850. A note in red ink, dated 31 October 1906, states that enclosures Nos. 5 and 6 (dated 2 November 1850) are missing.The papers relate to affairs in the vicinity of Aden including tribal feuds and the entry into Aden harbour of a damaged ship (in search of a pilot to take it to Mocha) attached to the Turkish [Ottoman] squadron which had tried unsuccessfully to take Maculla [Mukalla].The primary correspondent is the Political Agent at Aden.Physical description: 1 item (5 folios)
