Abstract: This item consists of copies of correspondence, consultations, resolutions, and minutes cited in, or enclosed with, political letters from the Government of Bombay. The correspondents are the Government of Bombay and Captain Stafford Bettesworth Haines, Political Agent at Aden. It is the first in a series of four items concerning Aden.The item concerns reports by Haines on the level of crime at Aden. A six-month account of criminal cases, ending 30 June 1846, is present on folios 259-263. A statement showing the prisoners at Aden for the same period is present on folios 264-274.
