Abstract: This volume is comprised of printed telegrams between Viceroy of India Lord Curzon, the Secretary of State for India, and other British officials, concerning the Muscat (also spelled Maskat in places) question. The letter concerns journey of Citizen Pierre-Joseph de Beauchamp towards Muscat where he has been appointed Consul, discusses the increased importance of Muscat, and asks to be kept informed of the war between Tipoo Saib [Tīpū Sulṭān of Mysore] and the English [Fourth Anglo-Mysore War, 1798-1799].An extract of a letter from Charles Maurice de Talleyrand-Périgord, French Minister of Foreign Affairs to Rousseau, sent from Paris and dated 27 Vendémiare of Year VI of the French Revolution (17 October 1797).
