- Abstract: This item consists of copies of correspondence, consultations, and minutes cited in, or enclosed with, political letters from the Government of Bombay. The correspondents are: the Government of Bombay; Major Samuel Hennell, British Political Resident in the Persian Gulf; Hajee Yacoob [Ḥājjī Ya‘qūb], the Government Pilot at Kharg [Jazireh-ye Khark]; the British Agent at Lingah [Bandar-e Lengeh]; Houssein bin Abdoollah Chief of Charrack [Ḥusayn bin ‘Abdullāh, Shaikh of Bandar-e Charak]; and Sultan bin Houssein Chief of Mogoo [Sulṭān bin Ḥusayn, Shaikh of Moghuyeh]. It is the first in a series of eleven items.The item concerns naval hostilities between Charrack and Mogoo, and the shaikhs’ explanation of events.
