Sheil's response is included, as well as brief comments by the Government of Bombay.The item also relates to reports by Moollah Houssein [Mullā Ḥusayn], Native Agent at Shargah [Sharjah], that ships belonging to the 'maritime chiefs' of the Arabian Coast are successfully engaging in the 'slave trade' whilst avoiding interception by Company ships.
